Most people are aware of ways to improve their health. Eating better, sleeping more, and exercising daily are just a few examples that most people would agree on. While you might be aware of what to work on, how good are you at implementing such changes? Better yet, how good are you at maintaining these changes?

Reduce the Overwhelm

With life as busy as we know it, maintaining a healthier lifestyle can be incredibly challenging and overwhelming. That is where health coaching comes into play. As an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach, I am trained to help you create lasting changes that fit who you are and where you are in life right now.

Create Lasting Change

I support you to make healthy changes by: 

  • Uncovering your key motivators for improving health 
  • Identifying challenges and blind spots that are preventing change
  • Using what’s currently working as a foundation to build upon
  • Creating healthy habits and reversing unhealthy ones
  • Providing powerful questions, reflections, and affirmations
  • Discovering your values and how to utilize key strengths
  • Sharing holistic health information learned under Chris Kresser, MS, L.Ac
  • Being an accountability partner
  • Helping create attainable, realistic goals

What to Expect in Each Session...

1st Session

 

Coaching starts with a 1 hour visioning session where we define what your optimal health vision is for yourself and

2 to 4 short term health goals to work on during coaching.


If you are unsure of where to start, I will share health information about:

  • Increasing healthier food choices
  • Adding activity into your day
  • Reducing stress
  • Decreasing environmental toxins.

We then can decide which area or areas are a good place to start.

Typical Sessions

 

After the visioning session is complete, each 45 min to 1 hour session will focus on identifying ways in which you can move towards your short term health goals. 

 

Such a session might include discussing: 

  • Key motivators to change 
  • Strategies to overcome hurdles 
  • Brainstorming ways to try out a new health technique
  • Short educational segments on nutrition/activity/environmental toxins/stress
  • Increasing confidence to achieve a goal
  • Creating a detailed, realistic, attainable plan to experiment with a small goal

Last Session


By the end of coaching, you will have more direction on how to achieve health goals, the ability to implement health strategies that fit your lifestyle, improved emotional and physical well-being, and confidence in taking the next steps.


Duration of Coaching


The recommendation for engaging with a health coach is: 

  • Weekly 1 hour sessions for month 1
  • Weekly or bi-weekly for months 2 through 4
  • If you desire more support after month 4, continue with weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions
